Impossible to sleep and charged too much

The breakfast was quite good. Also the Hostel is located near a bus station that takes you to the airport.

First of all I got betrayed as a tourist since I had to pay Chilean taxes (IVA). If you pay in USD you don't have to pay IVA. This is also the first time that they charged this tax in Chile. Discussions were not possible since the person we talked to didn't speak any English. The room we got was very small, old and most importantly it was extremely loud. Especially the traffic was really loud during the night. In addition our room was next to the entrance and during the night guests came back and the owner opened the door every time, discussed with them way too loud and closed the door loudly. We never had such a bad sleep on a journey.

Front door always locked and someone has to buzz you in. Expect to wait out on the street depending on what time you come back

I slept horribly.

The hostess on the first day and night was agreeable. The place was close to where I needed to go. The place was clean.

No place to sit and work. No way to dim the light from the corridor nor from the ceiling window. No ventilation other than a lucarne to the corridor, which is noisy and luminous. No security to speak off: on the second day the hostess changed and did not want to let me in at first, but let me in and gave me the keys without checking my identity: anyone could have bluffed their way into getting access to my room.

Relatively in the centre.

Room was without windows, paper walls that you could clearly hear call in the next room, customers coming late in the night have to ring the bell so you are woken several times during night. Despite friendly staff I cannot recommend the hotel.
